SUMMARY:Smithsonian Crossroads Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:We are excitedly looking forward to the Smithsonian: Museum on Main Street Crossroads Exhibit!\, which will come to San Augustine this summer on August 24th\, and running until October 6. \nSan Augustine is honored to be one of only seven communities throughout the state of Texas to be chosen for this opportunity. In a nutshell\, the Smithsonian will send a traveling exhibit on a tour through seven communities throughout the state of Texas. Each community will host the exhibit in their town for a total of six weeks. Throughout those six weeks\, the main goal of the exhibit is to help with heritage tourism efforts. In Atlanta\, Illinois with a town population like San Augustine\, the traveling exhibit brought a total of 1\,159 attendees to the community. White there\, attendees were able to explore the community further -visiting local museums and exhibits\, shopping local\, dining local\, etc. \nWe look forward to being a part of this great event in just a couple of months!
